After having a nice website built to support their offline lead generation and sales process  (by Caorda -- Sparklift's partner company for web design), this client inquired about search engine optimization and generating new sales leads directly from their website.

Prior to optimizing for search engines, their new website was only getting visitors from offline referrals and direct contact. I.e. business contacts providing a referral or sales reps handing out business cards and marketing materials. While there were many of these, the number who then visited the website only amounted to between 30-40 visitors per month.
 
After a preliminary review of search engine market potential within the target regions (those areas where the company was licenced to sell insurance), as well as an analysis of what could be done within the client's budget, we determined that at minimum, we could generate 3-4 times the current level of traffic in new web-based sales leads. And, potentially much more.
 
To do this, we in turn assessed that we would need to get the client's website listed on page one of Google results for at least a third of their Top 25 localized keyword searches in the two main target regions of Victoria and Vancouver, BC. E.g. "mortgage insurance vancouver bc".
 
Within a few short weeks of commencing the optimization campaign for Mortgage Life Options, we had exceeded the minimum goals for Google localized search results and began to watch traffic climb quickly. Now, a little more than a year from completing the project, their website continues to consistently get monthly traffic levels at a rate over 700% higher than pre-optimization.

Earlier this year, Sparklift was approached by the owners of this lovely historic city B&B about getting them found on search engines, bringing more traffic to their website and getting them new clientelle. We performed market research to establish a budget and minimum goals for their SEO project, then set about getting them onto page one for local searches on the best keywords related to their type of business.
 
In this case, it is clear that they needed new international clients and not to be found by locals, which is usually the case with a 'local search marketing campaign'.
 
That said, I explained and it is clear that when people are searching for accommodations, they search for the keywords they think will work, plus the place they want to stay. In other words, they 'localize' their search.
 
In this case, we were able to quickly get their business from nowhere to be found on search engines to page one in Google for local search for 40% + of their Top 25 keywords. This has definitely brought new customers and awareness of their business. Success on budget and ahead of schedule.

Starting in June of 2007, we  began consulting with this client thru our partner company ConnectPop. The contract involved assisting the client to launch an effective, sustainable email marketing program and to train their team to run it on their own.

After 18 months, the launch, optimization, and training was well established and the program is now a significant part of ParetoLogic's bottom line. Indeed, this program was the basis of their nomination for VIATeC 2009 Online Strategy of the Year due to its amazing revenue growth.
 
Bottom Line: Adding an email newsletter program to their existing automatic email system for software renewals doubled revenues by the end of the consulting contract and has only continued to grow since then.

We began KnifePro's SEO campaign in Feb 2010 and by the end of March we had them on page one for nation wide searches for over 30% of their search terms and over 90% on page one for local search.

We started this search engine optimization project in September 2009 and by the end of October we had the client's website on page one in Google for local searches on 19/25 of their top keywords. Needless to say they were very pleased.
